2000-YEAR-OLD BUDDHIST HINDU TEMPLE DISCOVERED IN PAKISTAN

Recently one of the oldest Buddhist Hindu temples in the world was discovered in Pakistan in the town of Barikot.
In addition to the architectural features of the temple, archaeologists have unearthed more than 2,000 artifacts.
These include coins, jewels, pottery, stonework, seals, and statues. Many of these carry ancient inscriptions that can be used to date them.

Additionally, radiocarbon dating will establish precise dates of the structures.
But what is clear is that the temple at Barikot is one of the earliest Buddhist Hindu temples ever found in the ancient Gandhara region.

Last year in this same site a Vishnu temple was also discovered.

Many of us do not realize how Buddhism – also a Dharmic indigenous religion – is very much a part of Hinduism.
Now let us look at some facts to understand this.

Gautam Buddha was a Hindu prince from Nepal, who is worshipped by several Hindu traditions as an incarnation of Bhagavan Mahavishnu.

Gautam Buddha had been initiated as a Hindu monk into Sannyasa – by Mahanirvani Akhada.
Gautam Buddha preached the principle of Sankhya Muni, or Kapila Mahamuni, whom even Bhagavan Krishna has cited in the Bhagavat Gita.

Bhagavan Kapila also revived the Mahanirvani Akhada, the apex body of Hinduism.
Buddhism is recognized as a Mahri of Mahanirvani Akhada and given a seat in Kumbh Mela as part of the Mahanirvani Akhada.

His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama has described himself as a “son of India”. He has been quoted saying – “I am a son of India, I have survived on Dal, Rotis”.

Tibetan Buddhist tradition is regarded to be a continuation of the rich Hindu indigenous tradition of Nalanda.
The Dalai Lama refers to Himself as a disciple of this lineage and has stated, “Tibetan Buddhism is not an invention of the Tibetans. Rather, it is quite clear that it derives from the pure lineage of the tradition of the Nalanda Monastery.”
Hindumisic terrorists have tried to divide – we – the indigenous people into castes, sects, and creating conflict between various indigenous traditions such that we fight each other and they rule.

However, the Hindumsia need to know we Hindus endorse the principle of Vasudhaiva Kutumbaha – which means – the entire world is from the same Mother – Vasudha (Mother Earth) and is my family, as originally revealed in Maha Upanishad, verses 71 to 73, “अयं बन्धुरयंनेति गणना लघुचेतसाम्। उदारचरितानां तु वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम्॥”, “Only the denigrated small-minded with a very pathetic outlook of life discriminate between kin and a stranger; while for the magnanimous, the entire world is a family.”
