Swami Dayananda Saraswathi Passes Away

Rishikesh, 23 Sept 2015. Hinduism now offers its deep condolences on the passing away of great saint, scholar and spiritual giant Sri Dayananda Saraswathi Swamiji at Rishikesh today.  Swamiji, a disciple of Sri Chinmayananda, was one of the greatest exponent of Vedic scriptures in recent times and his talks on the Vedas , Upanishads and other scriptures were profound and at the same time lucid and illuminating.  He was a true Karma Yogi and he worked hard at creating patashalas to preserve the Vedic knowledge, tradition and temples.  As the founder of the Acarya Sabha, Swami Dayananda brought together many diverse faiths of Hinduism under one umbrella in a move that has never been quite so successful in the recent history of Hinduism.

His passing away is a great loss to India and Hinduism. HinduismNow joins the millions of his disciples and the crores of Hindus in offering our deep respect and gratitude to Swamiji for his contributions.
