RSS Hindutva is Dangerous to Hindu Minorities not just Christians and Muslims
Any solution based on violence leads to more violence and an eye for an eye only makes the whole world blind said the Buddha 2500 years ago. While the RSS has become a militant response to attacks on Hindus, it is not just Christians and Muslims but many Hindu Minorities who are now the victims of the RSS’s attacks. While the threat to India by external forces is credible and real, by relying on goons and mindless violence, the RSS has unleashed a force they cannot control. And such an unmindful group goes to attack everything they don’t understand
The RSS was founded by a group of people who believed in a very “so called Vedantic” or turn of the century “Brahmho Samaj” kind of Hinduism. This Hindusim which looks down upon temple worship as a primitive aspect of it and also considers rituals and other core Hindu practices as regressive is becoming a great danger to real Hinduism.

Hinduism is nothing but a collection of unique paths to the truth. Many Hindu Gurus – who by definition create their own path in Hinduism – are being attacked for being different. Any difference of opinion with the BJP – the political party of the RSS is considered a threat to Hinduism. Recently one “Swami Agnivesh” was beaten by RSS people for his views against mainstream ideology of Hinduism and just 20 hours back the head of Udupi-based Shiroor mutt Sri Lakshmivara Teertha died allegedly by poisoning.

In the 2018 Karnataka Assembly polls, Lakshmivara ran into rough waters again when he decided to enter the poll fray. He hoped the BJP would give him a ticket. However, when the party snubbed him, he decided to contest as an independent. Later, Lakshmivara was forced to withdraw his nomination and to ‘bless’ the BJP candidate, Raghupathi Bhat, who eventually won from the coastal region.
NCP leader Praful Patel said that right-wing organisations, including VHP and RSS, were creating trouble for the Narendra Modi government through their “religious programmes”. “BJP won Lok Sabha polls and formed the government at the Centre with the backing of right-wing Hindu organisations like VHP, RSS and Bajrang Dal. However, these outfits are now creating trouble for the Centre through their religious programmes,” Patel told reporters.

Just the past few years, Hindu Gurus such as Asaram Bapu, Jayendra Saraswathi, Ram Rahim and Swami Nithyananda have also been victims of either mainstream or rouge groups inside the RSS who have targeted them. All of them were strong supporters of Hinduism – and yet they found no favor from certain RSS factions. One Kalyanaraman and his “advisor” S Gurumurthy are allegedly behind the attacks against Jayendra Saraswathi and also those behind the attacks on Swami Nithyananda.
Starting with smear campaigns, to legal abuses these attacks have not gone to the extent of assassinations and instigating mob violence. The situation is India is extremely critical – much as in how the SS dominated Germany before the second world war – and we are hoping
